Wayuu Mochilla from Colombia

These Mochilla are handmade, crocheted bags made by the Women of the Wayuu tribe. The creation of these beautiful bags takes around 2 – 3 weeks. The colorful patterns express their cultural heratige and their connection with Nature and the Spiritworld. For the Wayuu people there is a deeper meaning behind the patterns in the Mochilla’s and it is part of a spiritual work with time for prayers and meditation.
